Titel: Pithouse in Step House in Mesa Verde NP

In Mesa Verde National Park at Weather Hill Mesa. The point is accessible without special registration (contrary to the Long House and other points on Weather Hill Mesa).

Mesa Verde ancient villages have been build under overhanging canyon walls. These civilsation remains are quite unique, they remainded till now because the Anasazi people did build their houses with solid rocks.

A large number of house have a cultural background like to round based Kivas.

One of them has been reconstructed with its clay coverd tent structure that came from the early Anasazi civilization and then called pithouse.
