Das Leberblümchen (Hepatica nobilis, Syn. Anemone hepatica) gehört zur Familie der Hahnenfußgewächse (Ranunculaceae). Über die Zugehörigkeit zu einer Gattung gibt es zwei Auffassungen (siehe Stichwort Systematik): Die meisten Autoren stellen das Leberblümchen zur Gattung Hepatica. Andere Autoren stellen es in eine weit gefasste Gattung der Windröschen (Anemone).
