Abgebildet: Hoya motoskei. Es handelt sich um eine Zimmerpflanze, die besonders gut blüt, wenn die Blätter hellgrüb bis gelb werden, also offensichtlicher Nährstoffmangel im Blumentopf herrscht.

Wachsblumen (Hoya), auch Porzellanblumen genannt, sind eine Gattung in der Unterfamilie der Seidenpflanzengewächse (Asclepiadoideae) innerhalb der Familie der Hundsgiftgewächse (Apocynaceae). Die Gattung hat ihr natürliches Vorkommen im Indochina-Pazifik Raum, meist im Blätterdach von Regenwäldern. Meist mit Stecklingen oder selten mit Samen. Die Vermehrung durch Stecklingen erfolgt am besten mit mindestens einem Blattpaar.
