Beschreibung:

Das 1868 an der Stelle einer früheren Kapelle (und des ursprübglichen namengebenden freistehende Kreuz) erbaute Kirchlein zum Latzfonser Kreuz gilt als höchste Wallfahrtskirche Europas und beherbergt im Sommer den "Schwarzen Herrgott", ein viel verehrtes, zum Schutz vor Gewittern angeflehtes Kruzifix, das alljährlich in feierlichen Prozessionen im Frühsommer von Latzfons herauf und im Herbst wieder zurück gebracht wird.

Das Schutzhaus daneben ist eines mit der besten Aussicht auf die Dolomiten.
