In seiner Konzeption einzigartig ist der Laaser Kandlwaal, der die Etsch auf einem 600 m langen hölzernen Aquädukt auf 32 bis zu 15 m hohen Steinpfeilern überquerte, bis er 1907 von einem Brande zerstört wurde.
