Anciennement ENSAIS, l'Institut national des sciences appliquées de Strasbourg est une école d'architectes et d'ingénieurs qui a rejoint le réseau des INSA en 2003. L'INSA de Strasbourg accueille 1300 étudiants et propose une formation post-bac sur 5 ans (prépa intégrée).

L'immeuble est, comme beaucoup d'écoles, dans un style des années 1960 (construction et aménagement en 1959).
