Beschreibung:

Die Hofburg in Innsbruck war einst Sitz der Tiroler Landesfürsten. Erzherzog Sigmund der Münzreiche, Graf von Tirol, ließ eine mittelalterliche Burg erbauen. Sein Nachfolger Kaiser Maximilian I. baute die Anlage aus. Erst Maria Theresia (regierte von 1740-1780) gab den Auftrag zum Umbau im Stile des höfischen Wiener Rokoko. So präsentiert sich der Prachtbau noch heute.
