| Titel: | Snæfellsjökull vu de Búðavík | | Aufnahmestandort: | A Búðir, au sud de la presqu'île de Snæfellsnes. | | Beschreibung: | Le stratovolcan Snæfellsjökull (1 446 mètres) est situé à l'ouest de la péninsule de Snæfellsnes en Islande. Le nom de la montagne est en vérité Snæfell, jökull voulant dire glacier. Mais il y a encore deux autres montagnes du nom Snæfell (la « montagne de neige »), alors pour la distinguer, cette montagne est appelée Snæfellsjökull. Les dernières éruptions de ce grand volcan central se sont déroulées il y a environ 4000 et 1700 années. Snæfellsjökull est un des volcans les plus renommés d'Islande. Et cela grâce à un auteur français: Jules Verne avec le Voyage au centre de la Terre en faisant entrer ses héros par le cratère de ce volcan.
