Description:

La batterie est un ouvrage militaire de défense côtière. Sa position avantageuse entre la baie de de Snary et la rade du Brusc, lui confère un rôle essentiel dans la protection du littoral Toulonnais. La 1ère batterie était réorgaisée sous Louis Philippe 1er (1846 -1850).

Elle abrite aujourd’hui un centre d’interprétation consacré à l’activité marine et au passé historique de la batterie.
