Description:

Les Romains fondent une colonie (la Colonia Julia Augusta Apollinarium Reiorum) dans la plaine grace à la ligne de sources surgissant au pied de la commune. Les fouilles de Benjamin Maillet en 1842 et reprises en 2003 mettent à jour un complexe thermal romain.
