Les cuirasses en fonte de fer qui remplissent la balustrade présentent un motif végétal typiquement Art Nouveau. On remarque, en partie basse, la reporduction d'un «M» stylisé qui restera, sous une forme de plus en plus simplifiée, la marque du métro.
