Speziell an der Elisabethenkirche ist das Kreuzrippengewölbe aus Backstein. Im 19. Jahrhundert waren in der Schweiz Backsteine rar und teuer; die Elisabethenkirche ist der einzige Bau in Stadlers Werk, wo genügend finanzielle Mittel für eine solche Konstruktion vorhanden waren.
