La cavea, entourant la piste, divisée en 60 travées rayonnantes et 34 rangs de gradins, pouvait accueillir 24000 spectateurs. Les 34 rangs de gradins de la cavea sont répartis en quatre maeniana, séparées par un couloir de circulation et un muret, appelé balteus.
