Titre: | Lac Pavin vu de la rive ouest, 1197 m | Prise de: | Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne, France. | Description: | Situé à une altitude de 1197 mètres, le lac s'est formé par phréato-magmatisme, autrement dit il s'agit d'un maar. De forme presque parfaitement circulaire avec un diamètre de 700 à 800 mètres, il a une profondeur de 92 mètres, ce qui en fait le plus profond d'Auvergne. La rivière Couze Pavin qui passe a 300 mètres du lac n'est que partiellement alimentée par ce dernier. |
