| Titel: | Tafel mit Glagolitische Schrift | | Aufnahmestandort: | Bei der Kirche, Senj, Lika-Senj, Kroatien. | | Beschreibung: | Die glagolitische Schrift oder auch Glagoliza (in slavistischer Schreibweise auch Glagolica; bulgar./mazedon./slowen./serb./russ. glagolica, kroat./serb. glagoljica, tschech. hlaholice, slowak. hlaholika) ist die älteste slawische Schrift. Sie wurde um 860 (höchstwahrscheinlich jedoch erst 863) von dem aus Thessaloniki stammenden und von Byzanz entsandten Gelehrten Konstantin, der später als Mönch den Namen Kyrill annahm, für die Zwecke der Moravisch-Pannonischen Mission und ersten slawischen Kirchengründung weiterentwickelt. |
