| Titel: | Blühende Goldnessel | | Aufnahmestandort: | Götzens, Innsbruck-Land, Tirol, Österreich. | | Beschreibung: | Die Goldnessel ist eine mehrjährige krautige Pflanze, die Wuchshöhen von 15 bis 60 cm erreicht. Die Laubblätter sind breit eiförmig bis lanzettlich, am Rand nesselartig gekerbt und an dem vierkantigen Stängel kreuzgegenständig angeordnet. Auf der Oberseite befindet sich häufig ein weißliches oder silbernes Ornament (nicht bei der reinen Art, es handelt sich dabei um eine verwilderte Ausleseform). Diese Fleckung kommt zustande, wenn sich die Blattoberhaut vom Blattgewebe abhebt; es entsteht eine Luftschicht, an der das Licht total reflektiert wird. Die zwittrigen Blüten sind zygomorph.
