Description:

La cargneule est une roche sédimentaire carbonatée, d’aspect carié et vacuolaire, souvent bréchique, c'est-à-dire montrant souvent d'intenses fracturations avec des clastes brisés ou des mylonites. De teinte jaune, brune, rouge, rouille, ces formations rocheuses, plus ou moins startifiées, engendrent en affleurant en surface des reliefs ruiniformes, avec des monolithes ou pitons, des cavernes ouvertes, balmes ou baumes par exemple.
