Rubjerg Knude est la plus grande dune mouvante en Europe (la dune du Pyla étant la plus grande dune d'Europe fixe). Cette grande dune danoise est haute de 70m environ mais que les 20m supérieurs sont composés de sable meuble, la base étant composés de sols de l'ère glaciaire durcis.
