| Titre: | Colonne di San Teodoro e San Marco | | Prise de: | Am Canale Grande, auf einem flussabwärts fahrenden Vaporetto. | | Description: | Diese Beiden Säulen markierten den ehemaligen Haupthafen der Republik Venedig. Die Säulen sind Beutegut aus Tyros, auch die Figuren darauf kann man als Spolia bezeichnen: Der Heilige Theodor war Schutzpartron der Stadt bevor die Markusreliquien durch Venedig gestohlen wurden und Venedig dann diesen als Hauptheiligen verehrte. Auf der anderen steht der Markuslöwe, das Wappentier Venedigs. Die Figur stammt vermutlich aus Persien, Flügel und Bibel wurden vermutlich aber erst in Venedig hinzugefügt. | | Mots clés: | Säule, Marmor |
