| Titel: | Sacca Sesola | | Aufnahmestandort: | Auf der Isola della Guidecca, auf der Insel delle Scuole. | | Beschreibung: | Die künstliche Insel Sacca Sessola liegt südlich der Stadt Venedig in der Lagune. Sie besteht seit dem Jahre 1870 und wurde mit dem beim Bau der Stazione Marittima durch Grabungen und Kanalvertiefungen gewonnenen Material geschaffen. Die anfangs angelegten Gemüse- und Weingärten mussten progressiv Lagerhallen weichen, bis man im Jahre 1911 die Insel als Domizil für ein Krankenhaus für Cholerakranke wählte.
