Kvete fialově, modře, růžově i bíle a dorůstá do výšky 50 cm. Vykvétá v první polovině léta. Potřebuje slunnou polohu a písčitou, propustnou a vápenitou půdu. Levanduli rozmnožujeme stonkovými řízky.
