Beschreibung:

An einem Felskap liegt die Festung Forte Focardo aus spanischer Zeit. Seinen Namen trägt die Verteidigungsanlage nach Don Ferdinando Foxardo, Gouverneur von Longone unter König Karl II. (Spanien), der sie 1678 erbauen ließ.

Auffallend ist, dass die südwestliche Stützmauer bis zum Meer herungergezogen wurde, nur um die zackige Geometrie der Wehranlage zu wahren.

Oben ragt knapp die Spitze des Leuchtturms, den die Festung nun beherbergt, hervor.
