Title: Patrol-boats Grif P401 and EML Suurop P421 and Coast Guard PVL 105 TORM
Taken from:

At Lennusadam, at the end of the Küti street (Küti 15), Tallinn, Estonia.

Description:

The patrol-boat Grif was the first naval ship of regaining its independence with Estonia. Built in Feodossija in the Ukraine in 1976 as a guard boat for the coast guard of the SSSR and was used for patrolling on the Gulf of Finland and Moonsund. In 1992 the Defence Initiative Centre confiscated the ship. On the withdrawal of the Soviet troops from Estonia the “Grif” was transferred to newly formed Estonian Navy where its service lasted until 2001 when the ship was handed over to the Maritime Museum.

EML Suurop P421 is a former Estonian Navy patrol vessel. Suurop was built in 1957 in Finland.

The TORM was built in Bergen in 1965/66. The vessel was donated to the Estonian border guard in December 1994 without weapons.

The ships are part of the Eesti Meremuuseum (Estonian Maritime Museum).
