Beschreibung:

Molenfeuer sind Leuchtfeuer, welche am Ende einer Hafenmauer (Mole) errichtet werden. Sie kennzeichnen die Einfahrt in einen Hafen oder eine enge Schiffspassage.

Das Molenfeuer Holtenau wurde 1895 an der Südseite der Einfahrt zum Ostsee-Kanal (damals Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal) aufgestellt. Seit 1998 ersetzt ein modernen Ansprüchen genügendes Leuchtfeuer mit Radarantenne die alte Laterne Holtenau.
